Volunteers

The DRANREF Foundation would be nothing without our volunteers! TDF relies on volunteers to support our events and programs throughout the year from helping put together Abacus kits to supporting the execution of the program.

Student Volunteers

High school and college students are encouraged to volunteer with The Abacus Project to support younger students as mentors and role models. Groups are also welcome to support Abacus Project Kit Building  Workshops. Additionally, hours worked with us can count towards service hour requirements at your schools and universities.

Adult Volunteers

Parents, grandparents, and community members are all welcome to come out to help support the Abacus Project at local events and/or pilot program locations. Email us if you are interested in hosting the Abacus Project at an event or spearheading an Abacus Project Kit-Building Party!

How to Get Involved
  • Join us for one of our Virtual DIY Abacus Making Events to learn how to make an abacus.

  • Volunteer to help out at an Abacus Project pilot program location.

  • Help build DIY abacus kits (on average 1 hour of your time helps bring 5 kits to students around the country).

  • Donate to support the program! It only takes $20 to bring the power of the Abacus Project directly to a student.

  • Subscribe to the Abacus Project to get the latest updates and to check out our upcoming events.

  • Sign up for an upcoming event.
