We believe that a simple counting tool can change the trajectory of academic performance. We are using the Japanese abacus to build confidence and boost achievement in black and brown students. The data is clear. The achievement gap in this country is historic (45 years), and like everything else, COVID has not only exacerbated, but nearly doubled the problem we’re trying to solve. The time is now.
